Summer School
ACTIVITIES
Montessori Pre-school
- Ms. Sallie Inoue
- Ms. Alka Almoula
- Ms. Chitose Kunishima
The Montessori Summer School follows the Montessori philosophy of having a mixed-age group of children from 2½ to 5 years old in the same classroom and doing individual and group activities in a relaxed manner. There will be lots of different conversations that children will be engaged in as well as learn about various topics as time allows. We base the curriculum for children and with the children as Dr. Montessori says, “Follow the Child.” We will be offering fun-filled experiences and activities based on a theme for each week.
While developing English language skills, we will be engaging in activities such as storytime, show & tell, creative hands-on arts and crafts and singing and dancing to get our bodies moving to a rhythm. Indoor/outdoor play is scheduled daily as an opportunity for your child to interact with friends within a mixed-age group and with the teachers.
Please note that there will be a "rest time" for children under 4 years old.
The children will be having their lunch at school, which will be provided by Cezar’s Kitchen. Alternatively, if you prefer to bring lunch, you are welcome to do so.
