The Saint Maur community has once again demonstrated its dedication to compassion and service through its enthusiastic support of the Happy Bags Project. This heartwarming initiative, aimed at bringing comfort and joy to individuals experiencing housing insecurity or homelessness, saw the distribution of about 400 bags during the Christmas and New Year period.

Each bag was thoughtfully filled with essentials such as toiletries, food, and warm clothing. However, what made them truly special were the personal touches added by Saint Maur students. Every bag included a heartfelt drawing or message, lovingly created by students from the Elementary, Middle, and High School. These simple yet powerful gestures brought smiles to the faces of the recipients, reminding them that they are valued and cared for.

The effort was a community-wide endeavor, reflecting the spirit of teamwork and service that defines Saint Maur. Students worked diligently to sort, check, and prepare the bags, ensuring each one met the needs of its intended recipient. Parents and students alike joined forces to deliver the bags in Kannai, spreading holiday cheer while donning festive Christmas hats.

This project is a shining example of the Saint Maur values of Moral Citizenship. By participating, students not only contributed to a meaningful cause but also learned the importance of empathy, kindness, and community engagement.
