The Science Department was very excited this morning when a huge box was delivered containing a new piece of equipment that will help teachers and students to undertake microbiological experiments.
It is never too soon to start learning about Science and the Montessori Students at Saint Maur International School have already started! Here we see students doing colorful experiments with surface tension and chromatography.

There was a bustling of activity in the Science Center starting at about 1pm on the first day of May as twenty-one groups of sixth and seventh graders set up for the Middle School Science Fair 2015. In addition to the 10+ weeks of research and data collection, the students had devoted many hours designing posters upon which to display their findings. Parents, friends, faculty (and Science Fair judges!) came to view these posters and hear about what each group had discovered. Students from Yokohama Science Frontier High School also attended the event.
The Saint Maur International School Middle and High School Educational Excursions took place last Friday. Eleventh graders traveled to Tokyo's Odaiba Bay in order to spend the day at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan).
On Wednesday 29th of October, a group of 15 students from Saint Maur International School met with an equal number of their peers from Yokohama Science Frontier High School in order to take part in a visit of the Yokohama Campus of RIKEN (Rikagaku Kenkyūsho, 理化学研究所), a multidisciplinary research organization that is engaged in a broad variety of research within natural sciences
On February 14, Saint Maur celebrated the opening of its new purpose-built state-of-the-art Science Center. The two-storey building boasts four dedicated labs and preparation rooms for physics, biology, chemistry, general science, and robotics.
