About the class: 

Chinese dance is an art form which offers robust content, has a profound meaning, diverse forms, and constant innovation. The routines taught will include Chinese classic and folk dances. 

Chinese classic dance is developed with a contemporary spirit and aesthetic requirements on the basis of a certain traditional style (opera, martial arts), absorbing and using the common factors in the ballet training.

Classes will be accessible for beginners and all abilities. In this Chinese dance & fitness class, we will leverage the basic elements from Chinese classic dance for fitness.

Three key objectives of the dance class:

  1. Fitness.
  2. Share Basic Chinese dance elements & culture
  3. Learn Chinese Dance segments

About the coach: 

Vivian, a Saint Maur parent from China, has been teaching Chinese dance & culture for over 15 years. She is a certified teacher of Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), and a teaching consultant in Chinese Dance Alliance.
