Trinity Results Highlights
Every year in May, many students at Saint Maur take part in Trinity Music Examinations. These are prestigious and internationally recognised performance qualifications issued by the famous Trinity College conservatoire in London. Students who are signed up to our private instrumental lesson program typically take part in the exams, as this gives the students an excellent curriculum to learn with the opportunity to record a solo recital at the end of the academic year.
We are proud that 126 students from Saint Maur (around a quarter of the student body), from all Homeroom Grade levels of the school, were able to take the exams, of whom the vast majority were very successful. Particularly impressive, perhaps, is that 21 students managed to successfully complete Grade 6, 7 and 8 qualifications - the most advanced levels of the standard music grades and worth a significant amount of UCAS entry points (University entry points in the UK). Some of the students taking these advanced qualifications are still in Middle School. Another point of pride is that 80 of the students managed to achieve a 'distinction' or 'merit' rating for their performance, meaning that they performed with confidence, emotional commitment and fluidity.
Saint Maur offers instrumental lessons on a wide range of instruments with our expert team of 13 teachers. If you are interested in signing up for lessons, please contact the Music department.
