On Friday, February 21, Saint Maur’s Middle School students gathered for the Honor Roll Assembly. The event was opened by two Middle School Student Council members, followed by an address from Mr. So, the Middle School Coordinator, who introduced the assembly’s main purpose: to recognize and celebrate students who achieved Honor Roll and Honor Roll with Distinction.
On Tuesday, November 19th, students from Saint Maur International School's High School gathered in the auditorium for a special lunchtime assembly, hosted by the High School Student Council Executive Committee. This event celebrated the achievements of students across various disciplines while highlighting the values that underpin our educational mission.
On Tuesday, November 6th 2024, students and staff from the Middle School gathered in the auditorium to celebrate the achievements and contributions of our students in a ceremony that emphasized the values at the heart of our community.
Each year in May and June, our tenth graders take the externally-administered IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) examinations. Last year, all Grade 10 students at Saint Maur participated in these exams, with their results being released on August 13th, 2024.
In November, Saint Maur's Middle School Student Council members embarked on a transformative experience, spending an entire school day at our neighboring sister school, Futaba.
Every child's educational journey is a unique adventure, and at Saint Maur International School in Yokohama, we've been offering individual learning experiences since 1872. Rooted in a commitment to providing excellent education to international families while honouring our French heritage, we established our integrated French School 'École Française'. Founded in August 2007, the French School at Saint Maur was born from the aspiration to meet the needs of the ever-growing community of French and French-speaking families in the region.
The IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) examinations for the tenth graders are held every year in May/June. Last academic year all Grade 10 students at Saint Maur were able to complete all their IGCSE examinations.
On 23 March, the British Universities in Japan Education Fair was held at Saint Maur, bringing together representatives from 19 higher education institutions in the UK and high school students, parents, and staff members. The fair was an opportunity for attendees to learn about the various educational programs, facilities, and admission requirements offered by universities in the UK.
On Tuesday, March 7, a team of 25 Saint Maur students, from Grades 6-12, participated in Math Field Day. Math Field Day is a competition involving 12 schools from the Kanto Region in which students display their knowledge and enthusiasm for Mathematics.
One of the great advantages of our campus being surrounded by nature, is that staff and students can observe the change in seasons. We are very lucky to have beautiful cherry blossom trees on and around our campus to fully celebrate and appreciate this integral aspect of Japanese culture. There are over one hundred cherry blossom varieties in Japan and the tree on our campus is always in full bloom in late February, well ahead of the official Sakura Season which usually starts about a month later.

Last academic year, in spite of the disruptions caused by the COVID-19, all students at Saint Maur were able to complete all their IGCSE examinations. The results of which were released on 18th August 2022.
